Jeff Williams laughs as he takes a break from cleaning the Joseph C. Williams Sr. Kee-Nax Coastal Trail on Tuesday. Williams had become dissatisfied with the upkeep of the Joseph C. Williams Sr. Kee-Nax Coastal Trail, which is named after his father, and decided to clean it himself. He hopes his actions will shame DOT into taking better care of it. Williams has spent 21 days clearing dirt, moss, plants and roots from a section of the coastal trail between 2270 S. Tongass Highway and 2516 S. Tongass Highway. Staff photo by Christopher Mullen
