2024 06 14 Flag Day 1
Hunter Davis, commander of the Joseph T. Craig Post 3 of the American Legion, retires an American flag by burning it during the Flag Day ceremony at the American Legion site on Friday. Flag Day is celebrated nationwide on June 14, the anniversary of the United States flag's adoption in 1777. Ketchikan's celebration included observations, a flag retirement ceremony, and lunch.
