Barge refloat 033022 05

The tug boat Jennie B and the push tug Chihuahua pull a repurposed U.S. Army dry cargo barge from shore where it ran aground on Wednesday, March 30, 2022, at a beach about 10.5 miles north of downtown Ketchikan. According to a work crew with Seaborne Marine Services, that was on location working to refloat the vessel, the barge broke its mooring belts earlier in the morning around midnight at Mud Bay during a storm that brought high winds to the area. The tug boat Jennie B pushed the barge back to Mud Bay. Staff photo by Dustin Safranek
